Natures Patterns

Nov 21, 2021
minute read

Have you ever thought about the patterns that we live amongst, the nature that surrounds us and the peace that can be found in the symmetry, the design and the truthfulness of it all?

Take a rose, what is it that makes the petals grow in such a delicate formation? Look at a spiders web, when did they decide that a pattern such as theirs would be both strong and efficient.

In a world such as ours filled with distractions, I invite you to pause, take a moment and marvel at something small, innocent and often overlooked. Take a closer look at something you know you like the look of but you have never given it more than a cursory glance. What is your favourite flower, the succulent you find most interesting, a pebble you once collected? Take something that is made regardless of the human interaction, something natural and then think on its origins, its structure, its colour, its texture, its purpose.

This is nature, it's patterns, it's power and you thinking about it for a moment is a moment of meditation and thought about something other than yourself and all that you have to do today. A moment of calm peacefulness, all because of the way something looks in its natural form.

Find these moments as often as you can. They’re yours.
